Appendix: Editorial Rules for Future Canon

• Label ancient material, scholarly interpretation, modern myth, and doctrine accurately.

• Date major additions and revisions.

• Preserve superseded versions of substantial doctrine in the institutional archive.

• Do not attribute modern text to an ancient author or invented archaeological source.

• Do not create doctrine mainly to rationalize a transaction, expense, or benefit after it has occurred.

• Where humor touches grief, disability, sexuality, children, intoxication, trauma, or unequal power, apply heightened ethical review.

• Use iambic pentameter as a preferred ceremonial craft, not as a reason to make safety, governance, or financial language unclear.

• Permit satire of the Church and its leadership.

• Require attribution and appropriate rights for non-original material used in publications or the Laughter Archive.

• Ask of every addition: Does this help people practice restoration, fellowship, truth, generosity, hospitality, or stewardship?
