Opening words and the Laughing Lamp.
Regular Worship
We gather live, and speak an original word.
Each Gathering of the Returning Smile centers on an original Iambist talk, shared reflection, ethical humor, fellowship, and the closing Charge. During Year One, regular Gatherings are scheduled for the first and third Sundays at 7:00 PM Central.
The order of a Gathering
A brief silence for grief, illness, loss, and burdens carried into the room.
A new religious teaching on mirth, hospitality, satire, grief, fellowship, stewardship, or another Iambist doctrine.
Questions, discussion, stories, jokes, poetry, or testimony offered by participants.
A voluntary ritual toast and the charge: “Go forth and leave one burden lighter.”
The Church currently plans online live worship. Federal church classification uses a facts-and-circumstances test that includes an established place of worship and an established congregation at an established location. The Church will describe its online practice accurately and will not claim a physical place of worship unless one actually exists.
Next Gatherings
What comes next shall gather here in time.
