Come first as a guest. Belong only if you choose.

Iambe is built around Sacred Mirth: laughter that restores rather than humiliates, fellowship that makes room for strangers, and stewardship that leaves something for tomorrow.

The path into membership

You do not need to become a member to attend. Covenant Membership begins only after orientation, at least one live Gathering, an application, and the First Cup rite.

What to expect at a Gathering

  • Lighting of the Laughing Lamp
  • A Minute of Necessary Seriousness
  • An original religious talk rooted in Iambist doctrine
  • Discussion and questions
  • The voluntary Offering of the Jest
  • The Cup and closing Charge
No pressure to perform

The laugh is never owed.

You may listen without telling a joke. You may grieve without pretending to be cheerful. You may attend without joining. Participation in mirth is an invitation, not a demand.

Before you join

Covenant Membership is religious belonging, not an ownership interest. Members do not acquire rights to Church assets, investments, donations, the Perpetual Feast, or personal financial benefits merely by becoming members.
