Membership

The table waits; there should be room for one.

Visitors may attend freely. Covenant Membership is for people who choose to affirm the Creed, practice Sacred Mirth, and participate in the life of the Church.

The Covenant

Let sorrow speak, then give the laugh its turn;
Make room for strangers, share what you can give.
Mock pride before you mock another's wound;
And leave one burden lighter when you go.

To become a Covenant Member

Complete orientation, attend at least one live Gathering, submit an application, affirm the Covenant through the First Cup, and enter the internal membership roll. Membership carries no ownership interest in Church assets and no promise of private financial benefit.

No office is required to belong.

Members who want to serve as Readers, Iambist Ministers, or Celebrants may enter the Academy and ministry pathway. Others may remain Covenant Members indefinitely without seeking religious office.
